social innovation refers to new solutions that are better than existing ones in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, sustainability, and fairness,

with their value belonging to society rather than any particular individual.

Social innovation, characterized by the two core attributes of 'newness' and 'excellence,' 

can take various forms, including products, services, content, ideas, processes, technologies, campaigns, policies, laws/regulations, and programs/projects. 

Often, a combination of these elements can generate greater synergy.
